DiAnna Pantano received her Bachelor of Fine Arts with an Emphasis in Art Education from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She began her teaching career in the United States and has spent over a decade working in international schools across South Korea, Malaysia, and the UAE. With experience in both American and British curricula, as both a teacher and subject lead, she has taught at the Primary and Secondary levels, guiding students through a wide range of art forms including drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, digital media, and stage design.
DiAna’s teaching philosophy centres on fostering creativity built upon a strong foundation of skills. She is committed to integrating community-focused art projects and family engagement into her practice, having led large-scale installations, exhibitions, and the curation of a school gallery, and more. She is a strong advocate for sustainability in art education, and in 2023 presented a workshop on sustainable ceramics practices at the International Society for Education Through the Arts’ 37th World Congress in Türkiye.
Beyond the classroom, DiAnna maintains an active studio practice as an interdisciplinary artist, exhibiting work across the US, Malaysia, and the UAE. She enjoys connecting with local art communities, exploring cultural histories, and continuing her own creative growth. Outside of her artistic pursuits, she is an avid golfer and enjoys opportunities to engage with local sports and creative communities here in Beijing.
