Julia Karpa

Biology Teacher

Julia is an enthusiastic educator who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the Royal Veterinary College and a PGCE from University College London. Her passion for biology stems from its profound relevance to everyday life — from the food we consume to the environment we inhabit and the intricate workings of our own bodies.

At the heart of Julia’s teaching philosophy is the firm belief that every child has a scientist within them, waiting to be discovered and nurtured. She is committed to creating engaging learning environments where students can explore their natural curiosity and develop a deep understanding of scientific concepts. Through differentiation, Julia strives to meet the unique needs of each learner, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed.

In addition to her teaching career, Julia had previously volunteered at Barnet Hospital, where she led arts and crafts sessions for long-term patients. Julia also has a strong interest in IT. She completed a full-stack development bootcamp and earned a Level 3 certificate in data science. Additionally, she gained practical experience by working as a web design tutor for adult learners.
