Primary Campus Weekly Update 25 Aug 2025 - Primary Campus Weekly Update 25 Aug 2025

Dear Parents,

Welcome back to a new academic year! We are thrilled to see our students return with energy, curiosity, and a readiness to learn. The start of a new year is a time of fresh beginnings, renewed goals, and exciting opportunities for growth.

Primary Campus Weekly Update 25 Aug 2025 - Primary Campus Weekly Update 25 Aug 2025

At beginning of the school year, we have focused on establishing environments where children can thrive. We are spending time getting to know the children in our care, understanding how they learn, how to motivate them to engage in learning and inspire them. We are building relationships across the school so that each child has a sense of connection and belonging to their class and their year group.

In classes across school, teachers have been developing clear expectations and a shared sense of consistency. In doing so, we are helping to give clarity for children. Establishing routines—both at school and at home—helps children feel secure, confident, and ready to engage in learning. Our teachers are working hard to build strong classroom cultures where respect, responsibility, and resilience are nurtured daily.

At home, this could involve establishing a daily routine, set regular times for waking up, getting ready for school, reading, and bedtime. Talk about school, ask open-ended questions about what your child learned or enjoyed each day. Create a learning-friendly environment, a quiet, organised space for homework or reading can make a big difference. Importantly, model positive habits as adults, show curiosity, read together, and celebrate effort and hard work. Finally, stay connected and keep in touch with your child’s teacher.

The connections between home and school are critically important to get right at the beginning of the school year. Our upcoming Parent Teacher Meetings will be a great chance to build these relationships so that we can help children be the best they can be every day.

I know that, together, we can ensure that every child feels supported, challenged, and inspired.

As a school we are all looking forward to a wonderful year ahead and I look forward to meeting you over the coming term.
